Steve Jobs beautifully summarized the importance of finding our voice and how difficult it may become to be true to the path that voice places us upon in life. He noted: Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
How powerful is your voice? We believe it is incredibly powerful. We also believe it is possible for a unified purpose to emerge from a cacophony of voices.
As we move forward in gathering feedback for the Strategic Plan, your voice is an important part of the process. Please visit http://compass.frhsd.com/ - our web portal to collect and categorize feedback on our Strategic Plan - and lend your voice to the growing chorus of community members who have offered their insight. We can only utilize the feedback we receive - please do not allow your voice to be silent in this process. A school system is the lifeblood of the larger community and our system grows stronger when we hear from ALL voices. Otherwise, you will be living with the results of someone else’s thinking.
